Join me at Opus on May 27th as I take you through the process of planning and painting a landscape in oil. I will go over the steps of simplifying a photograph into a strong composition while using thumbnails to help eliminate potential problems. I will then explain how I approach colour and the layering process, as well as how I play with the paint in simple forms to create a unique oil landscape. This demonstration will give you tips and tricks on how to plan out your oil painting and get past any fears you have about a blank canvas.
