 This image was created from a photograph I took in Prince George on a frosty day near the Nechako river, with a thick covering of snow on the ground. For the card design (above) I simplified the image by taking out the background, the bench in the foreground and shadows from the trees to create the snow effect. The red birds are inspired from local birds in Victoria, sitting on a telephone wire. The image below is a painting I did from the same photo several years ago in watercolour.   This technical illustration was one of the images I recently created for Canadian Forest Service.

AuthorJessica is finding a balance between being a mum of two beautiful children, being an educator, and pursuing her passion for visual art. Her children provide constant inspiration and have taught Jessica to slow down and look at the flowers along the way, as well as the mud, sticks and fallen leaves.
