This image was created from a photograph I took in Prince George on a frosty day near the Nechako river, with a thick covering of snow on the ground. For the card design (above) I simplified the image by taking out the background, the bench in the foreground and shadows from the trees to create the snow effect. The red birds are inspired from local birds in Victoria, sitting on a telephone wire. The image below is a painting I did from the same photo several years ago in watercolour.
