Join me at Opus on May 27th as I take you through the process of planning and painting a landscape in oil. I will go over the steps of simplifying a photograph into a strong composition while using thumbnails to help eliminate potential problems. I will then explain how I approach colour and the layering process, as well as how I play with the paint in simple forms to create a unique oil landscape. This demonstration will give you tips and tricks on how to plan out your oil painting and get past any fears you have about a blank canvas.

Jessica is finding a balance between being a mum of two beautiful young children and pursuing her passion for visual images. Her children provide constant inspiration and have taught Jessica to slow down and look at the flowers along the way, as well as the mud, sticks and fallen leaves. Somehow her pockets are always full when she gets home.
